"Star Wars: Starfighter" director unveils initial imagery showcasing Ryan Gosling's involvement
In the vast expanse of the Star Wars universe, a new adventure is taking shape. Shawn Levy, the acclaimed director known for Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine, has taken the helm for the forthcoming film, Star Wars: Starfighter.
The first shot from the movie was taken somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, as confirmed by Levy himself, who captioned the image with '#Starfighter'. The image featured Ryan Gosling and his co-star Flynn Gray, who will also be part of the star-studded cast.
Joining Gosling and Gray are Mia Goth, Matt Smith, Aaron Pierre, and Amy Adams. Recently, Simon Bird announced that he too will be joining the cast, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
Set to be released in cinemas on May 28, 2027, Star Wars: Starfighter is an all-new standalone adventure and an entirely original story set in a period of time never before explored in Star Wars. The film went into production last month.
