Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Returns for Season 2
Fans of the Star Trek universe are eagerly awaiting the second season of the series "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy," set to debut in 2026. The show, which is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, will continue to explore the next generation of Starfleet officers in a richly developed futuristic setting.
In the first season, we met a fresh class of young cadets striving to become the Federation's best and brightest, as they trained at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco. Notable guest stars in the first season include Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, Tig Notaro, and Robert Picardo, who returns as The Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager.
In the first season, Holly Hunter plays Captain Nahla Ake, the first chancellor of Starfleet Academy after 120 years of neglect. Captain Ake aims to resurrect Starfleet's core ideals and vision as an inspiration to the galaxy. The U.S.S. Athena, a Starfleet "teaching hospital" vessel, is still associated with the Academy.
The second season will consist of 10 episodes, with Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber serving as executive producers for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
