Star player Stephen Curry of the Warriors, discussing his hamstring injury, indicates it's probable he'll sit out Game 5.

Golden State Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry expresses doubts about playing in Game 5 of their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as he told Andscape's Marc J. Spears on Monday night, "Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn't," referencing his left hamstring injury.

Draymond Green had earlier commented about not attempting to "Superman this thing," to which Curry responded, indicating that he doesn't foresee himself being available for Game 5 and won't have any updates on his hamstring until his next medical evaluation.

Stephen Curry sustained a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in the second quarter of Game 1 on May 6. Reports from ESPN's Shams Charania suggest that the 11-time All-Star would miss at least a week and has a reevaluation scheduled for Wednesday.

With Curry out of action in Game 4, the Warriors were outscored 39-17 in the third quarter, and Jimmy Butler, who scored 33 points in Game 3, only managed 14 points and six rebounds in Game 4. Coach Steve Kerr stated that Butler was not as aggressive in Game 4 and added that the team needs to find openings for him in Game 5.

If the Warriors pull off a victory in Game 5, Curry would have an extra three days of recovery before a potential Game 6 at home on Sunday. However, with the Timberwolves securing the series in five games, Curry is unlikely to play for the Warriors this postseason.

Curry had been averaging 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and 35.1 minutes throughout eight playoff games prior to his injury. He was also shooting 47.7% from the field and 40% from 3-point range.

Despite Stephen Curry's injury doubts for Game 5, the Golden State Warriors must find ways to assist him and rebound from their third-quarter slump in sports without him. In his absence, Jimmy Butler's aggressive play was noticeably missing, as the Warriors are desperate for him to regain that form in the next game. Even if Curry manages to return for a potential Game 6, the NBA star's recovery time and the Timberwolves' series win make his participation this postseason unlikely.
