Star player from Liverpool's offensive line set to depart, according to reports, disregarding potential obstacles.

It's a given that Liverpool fans can expect a rollercoaster summer ahead. With a trophy cabinet already bulging, manager Arne Slot is keen to strengthen the squad and challenge for more glory next season.

As the transfer tides turn, a fan favourite could be heading out the door. The Reds' attacking ranks, brimming with talent, present a conundrum. With six senior attackers eyeing three places, 27-year-old Italian Federico Chiesa seems the most likely casualty.

The stiff competition seems to have left Chiesa on the sidelines, with just 466 minutes under his belt last season. With the World Cup looming, regular game time is crucial for Chiesa to reignite his place in the Italian national team. Spanish outlet Diario AS suggests that Atletico Madrid might just offer him that opportunity, ready to snap him up - be it on loan or permanently.

Napoli also indicates interest in Chiesa, but his hefty wages could prove a stumbling block. Despite Transfermarkt valuing him at a mere €14 million, Liverpool, who shelled out around €15 million to secure his services, might find it worthwhile to recoup their investment.

Fans, however, would be saddened to see their new chant hero go. Although Chiesa's tenure at Anfield didn't meet expectations, his current supporters' favor will likely keep the Kop crooning his chants even if he were to depart.
