Stadium Parking Capacity at KSC's BBBank Wildpark: Crucial Information for Fans
The BBBank Wildpark, the new home of the Karlsruhe SC, has undergone a significant transformation, becoming one of the most modern venues in the 2. Bundesliga. The renovation, completed in July 2023, has turned the stadium into a football-only facility, offering a contemporary design and facilities tailored for football fans.
The BBBank Wildpark, located in the Hardtwald, also known as the "green lung" of Karlsruhe, can now accommodate 32,190 spectators. The stadium's seating arrangements reflect modern safety and comfort standards, with a greater proportion of seats compared to standing places.
Detailed seating breakdown reveals that the stadium houses 16,968 home seats, 1,000 away seats, 1,808 VIP seats, 674 box seats, and 9,086 home standing areas. In addition, there are 2,500 standing areas for away fans and 154 places for people with disabilities including companions.
The renovations have greatly improved the overall fan experience, with many home games being sold out and the club ranking well in the league for attendance figures. The BBBank Wildpark also generates its own electricity through a photovoltaic system, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.
Smoking is allowed on the promenade and the runs under the stand, but not while standing in line at a kiosk or on the stands. Ashtrays are provided in these areas for smokers' convenience. However, smoking is strictly prohibited on the stands, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and modern vapes.
Security measures are in place before fans enter the BBBank Wildpark to ensure that dangerous objects are not being smuggled into the stadium. Certain items, such as firearms, knives, glass bottles, and spray cans, are not allowed to be taken into the stadium.
The Karlsruhe SC ultras are located in Block S3, centrally located and at the front on the opposite side of the South Tribune. Approximately 3000 parking spaces are available near the BBBank Wildpark, with around 1700 located on Birkenplatz and its immediate vicinity.
The BBBank Wildpark's name is a result of a sponsorship contract between the Karlsruhe SC and the BBBank, a German cooperative bank based in Karlsruhe. The contract is valid until at least 2026. The stadium has a natural grass pitch and modern facilities, including floodlights and LED video walls.
Due to numerous complaints, the KSC announced intensive controls in September 2024, which are expected to continue in the 2025/26 season. This move aims to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans.
