New LED Floodlight System Installed at Novorossiysk's Central Stadium

Novorossiysk, Russia, is set to experience a brighter and more energy-efficient match experience with the installation of a new LED floodlight system at the Central Stadium. The renovation project, which cost 47 million rubles from the municipal budget, was completed on July 30 in Krasnodar, Russia.

The advanced lighting technology, designed to enhance visibility, energy efficiency, and overall match experience, features specifications that set it apart from traditional lighting systems. These specifications include:

  • High Luminous Efficacy: Modern LED floodlights offer around 100-160 lumens per watt, providing bright illumination with lower energy consumption.
  • Color Temperature: The lighting system emits a bright white light, closely resembling daylight, with a range of 5000K to 6500K.
  • Uniform Light Distribution: The floodlights are designed to minimize shadows and glare on the field, ensuring consistent and even illumination across the entire playing surface.
  • Long Lifespan: LEDs can last 50,000 to 100,000 hours, significantly reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
  • Adjustability: The floodlights are equipped with advanced mounting and aiming capabilities to optimize light angles and coverage.
  • Compliance with Standards: The system meets international sports lighting standards, enabling high-quality broadcast and safe playing conditions.
  • Energy Efficiency: The floodlights consume 50-70% less power than traditional metal halide or halogen floodlights.
  • Weather Resistance: The system is durable and designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.

The benefits of this new lighting system are far-reaching. Improved lighting quality helps players perform better and reduces mistakes caused by poor visibility. The high-quality LED lighting also provides consistent and flicker-free illumination, ideal for TV and live streaming.

Substantial energy savings lead to cost savings and a lower environmental footprint. The longer lifespan and robust design lower downtime and maintenance expenses. Brighter and more uniform light improves visibility for spectators within the stadium, enhancing their overall experience.

The new lighting system meets the requirements of the Russian Football Union, ensuring it is suitable for professional sports venues. The internal spaces of the lighting poles have been brought into compliance with safety norms.

The vertical and horizontal illumination of the new floodlights is 1400 lux, providing ample brightness for the players and spectators. The new lighting system will save 2.5 times the electricity when turned on.

The debut match at the renovated Central Stadium will take place on Sunday at 19:00 between "Chernomorets" and "Arsenal" from Tula. The city head, Andrey Kravchenko, has invited fans to support the team in their first home match at "Central".

This renovation marks a significant step forward in sports lighting technology and sets a new standard for stadium illumination in Novorossiysk. Fans can look forward to a brighter, more energy-efficient, and overall enhanced match experience at the Central Stadium.

The new LED floodlight system, installed at Novorossiysk's Central Stadium, is not only energy-efficient but also enhances the overall match experience, ideal for one of the most popular sports, football. This advanced lighting technology, suitable for European leagues, promises better player performance, improved visibility for spectators, and significant energy savings, making it a game-changer in sports stadiums, particularly in football leagues across Europe.
