St. Laurentius dedication's organ honors Gladbach with an autumn symphony, saluting the queen of musical instruments.

From September 5th to October 5th, the Gladbacher Orgelherbst provides a selection of concert styles catering to both adults and children, organ aficionados, and music lovers in general.

St. Laurentius dedication's organ honors Gladbach with an autumn symphony, saluting the queen of musical instruments.

On September 5, Dariia Lytvishko, a renowned German-Ukrainian organist, will perform at St. Laurentius Church, Odenkirchen. The concert, titled "Organ - The Queen of Instruments," will commence at 7:30 PM, with the box office opening at 6:45 PM.

Lytvishko will interpret melodies from the Star Wars series on the Rensch organ, as well as works by Italian composers, Edward Elgar, and Percy Fletcher. The programme also includes organ works by Louis Vierne, Maurice Duruflé, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The Mönchengladbach Choral Project, the Gladbacher Chamber Philharmonic, and soloists will participate in the concert under the direction of Stephanie Borkenfeld-Müllers. The final concert on October 5 at 4 PM will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Mönchengladbach Choral Project and will feature Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 2 "Lobgesang." Psalm 42 and the C-major overture by Fanny Hensel will also be performed.

All concerts at St. Laurentius Church will be transmitted via video camera onto a screen in the church. Orgel by Bike, a unique format for exploring the organ landscape of the Gladbacher South by bike, will start on Sunday, September 21, at 2 PM at St. Laurentius Church, Odenkirchen. On September 16, Friedhelm Bruns will explain the world of the organ at St. Laurentius Church, Odenkirchen, at 8:30, 10, and 11:30 AM. Admission is free.

Organ builders Fröhlich and Katrin Ebbinghaus from Herz-Jesu Pongs, and Klemens Röslers from St. Gereon Giesenkirchen will be present in Orgel by Bike. Stephanie Borkenfeld-Müllers is excited about the participation of her colleagues in Orgel by Bike.
