Viersen Mitte is set to host a grand celebration in honour of its District King, Schutzkoenig Julian I. Hardt, from the 6th to the 8th of this month. The main day of festivities will be on Sunday, with the celebrations beginning early in the morning.

The festivities kick off on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial. This will be followed by the "Small Parade" at 7:15 pm, leading into the "Ball of the District King." The local Catholic parish of St. Remigius, which includes the St. Konrad-Schuetzengilde, will play a significant role in the celebrations.

On Sunday, the day begins with a festive mass at 8:15 am, marking the start of the district shooting festival at the St. Konrad-Schuetzengilde. The Grand Tattoo, a highlight of the celebrations, will take place at 12 pm. Following the Grand Tattoo, a musical breakfast will be held.

At 10 am, the Grand Parade, led by the St. Konrad-Schuetzengilde, will commence from the chapel. Lina Frings, standing by King Julian's side as Queen, and Ministers Sandra Hardt and Celine Hardt, will lead the procession. The parade will culminate in a grand display of honourary dances at the King's Gala Ball, commencing at 10:30 pm, with the Roland Bruggen Party Band providing the music.

The solemn coronation of King Julian I. Hardt will take place in the St. Konrad chapel at 5 pm. The day's festivities will conclude with the "Grenzweger Summer Party" featuring DJ Roland Zetzen, held in the evening.

On Monday, at 2 pm, the traditional storming of the king's castle will take place, followed by the not entirely voluntary bath of the royal family in the Niers. This historic event marks the end of the celebrations, which this year are particularly special as we welcome King Julian I. Hardt to his role as District King of Viersen Mitte.

On Saturday evening, other social-media platforms may announce the start of the "Small Parade" leading into the "Ball of the District King," a significant event in the celebrations, at 7:15 pm. During the Grand Parade on Sunday morning at 10 am, Queen Lina Frings will be representing entertainment with her leadership, along with Ministers Sandra Hardt and Celine Hardt.
