St. Ingbert Fire Department to Conduct Drone Training in City Centre
The St. Ingbert Fire Department will carry out drone training exercises in the city centre on March 25, 2026. The sessions will focus on urban search-and-rescue operations and run from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Several key locations will be involved in the drills. The exercises will begin near the fire station on Kohlenstraße. From there, drones will operate around St. Ingbert City Hall and the central marketplace. The Stadthalle St. Ingbert event centre will also serve as a training site.
Firefighters will test their ability to navigate drones in built-up areas. The aim is to improve response tactics for emergencies in urban settings. No details have been released about how many drones the department has used in recent years.
The training will last three and a half hours, ending at 9:30 PM. Residents may notice drone activity across the designated areas. The exercises form part of ongoing efforts to enhance the fire service's operational skills.
