The Berlin-based artist duo "Kopffarben," composed of Johannes Schmidt and Julia Schäfer, hailing from Erfurt themselves, project scenes from the Christmas story onto the church's interior walls. This captivating spectacle, announced by the Augustinian monastery on the first day of Advent, will be on display daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, until January 6th, at no cost to the public.
Previously, Schmidt and Schäfer showcased their large-format images on Erfurt's cathedral for the Day of German Unity 2022. Their connection to the city extends beyond this Christmas event, adding an extra layer to the captivating light art scene in Erfurt during the advent season.
