SSV Ulm, currently struggling in the third tier of German football, has parted ways with both its sporting director and head coach following a dismal run of form. The club, which sits in 18th place after 14 matchdays, was recently humbled with a 0–5 defeat to Hansa Rostock, raising alarm bells about its survival in the league. In a bid to turn around their fortunes, SSV Ulm has terminated the collaborations of both Markus Thiele and Moritz Glasbrenner. Thiele, who served as the sporting director, and Glasbrenner, who took over as head coach in mid-September, have been relieved of their duties. The decision was made after extensive discussions with the club's leadership. Thiele, who joined Ulm in 2022, oversaw the team's rise to the third tier. However, the team's poor performance this season led to his departure. Both parties agreed to an amicable and fair separation. Glasbrenner, who succeeded Robert Lechleiter, had been at the helm for just over a month before his dismissal. The search for their replacements is currently underway. SSV Ulm has dismissed Markus Thiele as sporting director and Moritz Glasbrenner as head coach. The club, which is facing the threat of relegation, aims to bounce back from its recent 0–5 defeat. The search for new leadership is ongoing, with the club hoping to make swift appointments to steer them away from the relegation zone.
