SpVgg Willmering-Weffenbrunn faces relegation to the Kreisliga, following a 1:5 loss against FC Pielenhofen-Adlersberg.

SpVgg Willmering-Waffenbrunn Relegated from Bezirksliga Süd

After a challenging season, SpVgg Willmering-Waffenbrunn has been relegated from the Bezirksliga Süd following a 1:5 loss in a crucial relegation game against FC Pielenhofen-Adlersberg. The team, coached by player-trainer Jakub Süßer, had fought through relegation last year, securing promotion to the Bezirksliga through the relegation playoffs. However, this season saw them involved in relegation once more, finishing with only 31 points.

The decisive second round against FC Pielenhofen-Adlersberg, a team from the Bezirksliga Süd, ended in a clear 1:5 (1:3) defeat. This result meant that Wi-Wa was demoted back to the Kreisliga.

Meanwhile, in another development, 1. FC Miltach secured promotion to the Kreisliga, avoiding relegation despite only accumulating 25 points in the regular season. Miltach lost 1:8 to SC Regensburg in their final match of the season, resulting in coach Christian Allgeier's dismissal. Sporting director Robert Huber and FC veteran Chris Freisleben took over coaching duties, leading the team to a 3:2 extra-time victory against Grafenwöhr, and a 5:1 triumph against WiWa in the crucial relegation match.

Pielenhofen took an early lead, with goals from Matthias Ettner (7', 37') and Maximilian Nurtsch (29'), giving them a 3:0 advantage within the first half-hour. Johannes Göttlinger managed to reduce the deficit to 1:3 just before halftime.

Despite facing pressure after halftime, Miltach showed more determination, impact, and effectiveness, with goals from Manuel Maier (56') and David Greiner (75') ensuring the securing the 5:1 victory. This means they have successfully maintained the Bezirksliga Süd status following consecutive relegation survival.

FC coach Huber commented on the victory, "We exploited our speed on the wings, weathered SpVgg's pressure after halftime, and were in control from the 60th minute. It was a well-deserved victory at this level."

While specific evaluations of Jakub Süßer's coaching performance are not detailed, the fact that SpVgg Willmering-Waffenbrunn was involved in relegation playoffs suggests that under his leadership, the team struggled in the Bezirksliga Süd season to maintain its league status.

In the subsequent relegation game against FC Pielenhofen-Adlersberg, a team from the same league, SpVgg Willmering-Waffenbrunn's poor performance led to a 1:5 loss, causing the team's relegation from the Bezirksliga Süd and their demotion to the Kreisliga. The failing sports-analysis under player-trainer Jakub Süßer may have contributed to the team's struggles, as they were once again involved in relegation.
