After a decade of service at Tottenham Hotspur, Son Heung-min has officially departed the club, signing a £20 million deal with Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Los Angeles FC (LAFC).

Son's departure was confirmed following a series of emotional goodbyes in South Korea. He expressed his gratitude towards the club, teammates, and fans, describing his farewell as a "perfect moment."

During his tenure at Tottenham Hotspur, Son quickly became a fan favourite and a modern-day Premier League great. He helped the club win the Europa League in May, ending a 17-year trophy drought, and clinched the golden boot award in the 2022-23 season.

In May, Son announced his intention to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, revealing his desire for a "fresh challenge." Despite the many memorable moments he had with the club, Son made the decision to depart, citing a desire for new experiences.

Tottenham Hotspur, respectfully, have assisted Son with his decision. New head coach Frank has confirmed Son's intention to exit the club after 10 years in north London.

As for his potential destination, Son's move to LAFC has been confirmed. He called the MLS move a "dream come true." This transfer marks his first club change since joining Tottenham as a young player from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.

The UEFA Super Cup fixture with Paris St Germain in Udine on the horizon on 13 August could still be Son Heung-min's last game for Tottenham Hotspur. Frank expressed his hope for a beautiful ending for Son, should this be his last game for the club.

Son Heung-min made 454 appearances and scored 173 goals for Tottenham Hotspur, cementing his place in the club's history. He will always be remembered for his contributions to the team and his unwavering dedication to the cause.
