Spurs initiate discussions regarding a £10m transfer of Frank with Brentford.

Casual Take:Tottenham Hotspur are on the hunt for a new boss, and the preferred candidate seems to be Thomas Frank from fellow Prem League team Brentford. Frank's job at the Bees, which has been a stint marked by promotions and thumbing noses at big budgets, has caught the eye of Spurs.

Remember that bloke Ange Postecoglou who just recently guided Spurs to Europa League victory and Champions League qualification? Well, two weeks later, he was shown the door. Now, the north London club is eyeing the Dane Frank to take his place.

Frank has been with Brentford since 2018, and under his leadership, they got promoted to the Premier League through the 2021 Championship playoffs. It seems it might cost Spurs a cool £10m to pry Frank away from Brentford, as his contract runs until 2027.

There were other names floating around as possible replacements before Frank, like Fulham's Marco Silva, Burnley's Scott Parker, and Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner. But Postecoglou's replacement may very well be Frank.

Before Frank became the front-runner, some even mentioned the name of former manager Mauricio Pochettino, who's currently coaching in the US. Poch warned a return to London was unrealistic.

With Frank potentially joining Spurs, some changes are afoot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The first day was last week for the new CEO, Vinai Venkatesham, while senior executive Donna-Maria Cullen has resigned after 30 years of service. Scott Munn, chief football officer, is expected to depart this week as well.

Brentford, under Frank, finished 10th in the previous Premier League season. In contrast, Spurs, who let go of Postecoglou and also their Women's manager Robert Vilahamn, were 17th. Postecoglou's team lost 22 matches out of 38 in the Premier League this season.

Extra Bits:Frank is interested in bringing Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo to Spurs, provided the talks succeed. Reports also suggest that Manchester United may be eyeing Mbeumo as well. Brentford views Frank's departure positively but is not willing to part ways without a substantial amount for his release clause.

Sports enthusiasts might be intrigued as the Premier League scenario unfolds, with Thomas Frank, the successful manager at Brentford, potentially joining Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, European leagues like the Europa League, where Thomas Frank guided Spurs to victory and Champions League qualification, could witness changes in their lineups, particularly with the departure of Ange Postecoglou.
