In a significant move for the city of Zhabinka, a new bus route from Brest to Zhabinka was launched in December 2021, enhancing connectivity between the two cities. This is just one of the many developments happening in the city.

On November 16, 2022, a multi-industry job fair will take place in the premises of the Brest City Executive Committee. Leading enterprises of the Zhabinka District, including OAO Zhabinka, OAO Zhabinkskiy Elevator, and other local businesses, will be represented at the event. The job fair, scheduled from 11:00 to 13:00, aims to provide opportunities for job seekers to resolve employment issues on the spot.

The job fair is part of Zhabinka's ongoing efforts to boost local employment and economic growth. Investment projects in the city include the expansion of industrial production facilities and infrastructure development. These projects, along with at least 10 small and medium-sized businesses opened annually, are expected to create around 300 vacancies in the Zhabinka District, with around 200 in the satellite city.

In addition to employment opportunities, housing development is also a key focus in Zhabinka. The general development plan of the city, extending until 2035, is currently being adjusted. The plan includes expanding the boundaries of the satellite city, increasing territories for housing construction, and developing two quarters for individual housing construction.

The new quarter, set to be completed by the end of the year, will provide around 150 apartments, a significant increase from the 72 provided last year. A new quarter of multi-story housing is also being developed, consisting of five buildings (three nine-story and two seven-story).

Negotiations are ongoing with Brest Public Transport Enterprise to increase the number of trips on the popular route 77, with plans to launch the fourth trip of route 77 by the end of the year. This will further enhance connectivity between Zhabinka and Brest.

While the average salary in Zhabinka is approaching Br2,000, slightly less than in the regional center, job seekers are advised to bring their passport, work record book, and documents confirming their qualifications to the job fair. Brest residents will also have the opportunity to consult on housing construction and acquisition in Zhabinka.

The adjustment of the general development plan is undergoing state expertise and will be presented for approval to the President. This continued development and growth in Zhabinka are expected to contribute positively to the region as a whole.
