Doris Wilflingseder: A Career in Sustainability

Our first alumna of the month is Doris Wilflingseder. Today, she finds herself confronted with the themes of sustainability and corporate social responsibility in her work at the Tyrolean Economic Chamber. The challenges she faces in this diverse field are a testament to her courage and determination.

Fabienne Imlinger: From Alpinist to Salewa Testimonial

Fabienne Imlinger's path has been just as diverse. Starting as a teaching assistant for accounting, she has since served as a faculty representative and is now a doctoral student at the University of Innsbruck. Marlene Hopfgartner: Embracing Challenges

Marlene Hopfgartner's journey took her from the hermit's life in Kaltenbach to Oslo, London, and Beijing, before settling in Munich. She completed a semester abroad in Taiwan, a great challenge that has shaped her personality. Today, she works in the field of public relations, always giving her best and connecting her work with her employees.

Oliver von Malm: Architecture by Inspiration

Oliver von Malm's idea to study architecture came during a jog in the woods, observing a water wheel construction. After spending one and a half years in Innsbruck, living in a hut in the Zillertal and often sleeping directly in the university's drawing room, he acquired digital and creative skills during his internships in Oslo, London, and Beijing.

Jane Platter: A Love for Innsbruck

Jane Platter originally moved to Tyrol for one semester and began her studies in political science and philosophy at the University of Innsbruck. Not least her professors Werner Ernst, Elmar Waibl, and Helga Peskoller particularly captivated her. Patricia Sepetavc switched industries and joined SPAR Österreich. Warent-handels AG, working her way up from expansion and location development, to becoming the sales manager for Tyrol and Salzburg. Ulrike Pfeiffenberger-Blaas's academic path with two children and diverse professional stations show that often, it's the so-called detours that lead to the most interesting career paths. Her enthusiasm for her chosen field of study, the trips abroad she took, and the experiences she gained have certainly contributed to her advice for students: to follow one's interests and to be unreasonable - to stay true to oneself, to trust oneself, and to remain curious!

Martin Fritz: An Independent Artist and Researcher

Martin Fritz is an independent artist and researcher. He studied comparative literary studies at the LFU. Today, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, where he is researching the evolution of immune systems in vertebrates.

Otto Defranceschi is an archaeologist who is now a safety specialist and fire protection officer at the University of Innsbruck. His passion for his profession stems from a near-death experience involving a fall into a 10-meter deep glacier crevasse.

She studied English and Russian at the LFUI, spent a semester abroad in Nizhny Novgorod, about 400 km east of Moscow, where she learned about genuine hospitality and deterrent customer service. As a translator, public relations specialist, salesperson, entrepreneur, and business English coach, her versatility is due not only to her ability to quickly familiarize herself with various topics during her studies but also to her ambition and, above all, the encouragement she receives from her clients.
