Sports psychologist accuses ex-San Antonio Spurs player of exposing himself during therapy sessions in lawsuit

Adelina Simpson, a spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office in Texas, told CNN that the office had initiated a preliminary investigation into the allegations.

The lawsuit alleges that Primo first exposed himself to the doctor, followed by ongoing revelations that were becoming increasingly extreme and out of control, with Primo's behavior no longer under the control of the organization's leadership since the informant's report.
Primo's attorney, Tony Buzbee, said at a press conference on Thursday that the Spurs' legal team had informed Cauthen that they had lost faith in her, following their contract expiration in August.
As reported by the Bexar County District Court, the decision not to renew the contract was made.
"Primo's behavior clearly went beyond what is normal or acceptable. His conduct was shocking and damaged my conscience," Buzbee said.
"I also want to say that the Spurs' behavior and the way they handled this situation was disturbing and absolutely irrational."
Primo was released by the team on October 28. RC Buford, CEO of Spurs Sports and Entertainment, said in a statement that the roster changes were "in the best interest of the team and Joshua," without providing specific details of the decision.
Primo's attorney issued a statement, saying, "Josh Primo was on the brink of a promising career, but he was destroyed by these false accusations and was released by the Spurs."
Primo's lawyers described Cauthen's accusations as "either a complete fabrication, a gross embellishment, or sheer fantasy."
"Josh Primo is a 19-year-old NBA player who has faced challenges and trauma throughout his life.
In the statement, it is said, "He is now the victim of a former team-appointed sports psychologist who exploited harmful stereotypes and racially charged fears for his own financial gain."
Buzbee said his office was in contact with Bexar County authorities and planned to file multiple criminal charges against Primo for indecent exposure.
"We hope the responsible authorities will launch an investigation," Buzbee said at a press conference on Thursday.
