Sports News at KMCH: Initially Released Team Rankings by IATC
The anticipation for the 2025 cross country season is building as the first competition dates have been set for next Monday, the 25th. In preparation, the Iowa Association of Track Coaches has released the preseason rankings for the upcoming season.
The rankings for both boys and girls teams are now available online, offering a glimpse into the competitive landscape of the season. For the boys, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country Team is ranked 8th in Class 3A, with Gilbert, Pella, and Grinnell leading the way. In Class 1A, Maquoketa Valley is ranked 11th for both boys and girls.
Unfortunately, no further information about the boys' rankings in Class 1A and Class 2A was provided. However, it's worth noting that no other teams from the KMCH Sports coverage area are ranked in the top 16 for boys in the 2025 cross country season.
In Class 2A, Anamosa is ranked 9th for boys, while Cascade is not ranked in the top 16. On the other hand, Cascade is ranked 16th for girls in Class 2A.
Interestingly, teams from the KMCH Sports coverage area are included in the 2025 cross country rankings. In Class 3A, Western Dubuque is ranked 18th for boys.
