Sports group Clean Water Sports Alliance advances as a candidate for the Sport Positive Awards slated for 2025.

The Clean Water Sports Alliance (CWSA) has been shortlisted for the prestigious Sport Positive Awards 2025, recognising their significant contributions towards sustainable business, climate action, biodiversity, and environmental justice in the sports industry.

As a participant in the awards, the CWSA, which includes the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) as a founding member, has been working closely with water companies, ministers, and officials to raise awareness and drive change in the way water firms and the UK Government think about the use of blue spaces for recreational use.

The CWSA's work has already started making an impact, ensuring the voices of millions of recreational water users are heard and represented in the industry's future. The Alliance has also been shortlisted for their collaboration on the importance of clean water, demonstrating their commitment to preserving and protecting the environment.

The Sport Positive Awards 2025 aims to uplift, inspire, and raise awareness of people and organisations working in and around sport for sustainable initiatives. The ceremony and the Summit will take place in London on 7-8 October 2025.

The CWSA has been shortlisted in the Purpose-led Partnership category, joining other esteemed finalists such as the International Biathlon Union (IBU) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). However, the full list of finalists for this category, including the Clean Water Sports Alliance, has not been publicly shared yet.

The Awards ceremony on 7 October 2025 in London will reveal the winners for each category, including the Purpose-led Partnership category. The winners will be decided by an independent faculty of global judges.

The Sport Positive Awards 2025 includes participants from various countries, such as Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, Brazil, UK, UAE, and USA, making it a truly global event.

The CWSA's inclusion in the Sport Positive Awards 2025 is a testament to their dedication and hard work in promoting sustainable practices in the sports industry. Their recognition in this global event will undoubtedly inspire others to follow their lead and contribute to a greener and more sustainable future for sports.

The Clean Water Sports Alliance's (CWSA) shortlisting for the Purpose-led Partnership category in the Sport Positive Awards 2025 reflects their commitment to environmental issues, such as climate change and preserving clean water, which are integral aspects of both environmental science and sports analysis. Their collaboration with various organizations aims to drive change in the sports industry and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable practices for a greener and more sustainable future.
