Sports broadcaster Hofmann gives birth
Renowned sports presenter Ruth Hofmann has recently announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy, in early August 2025. This joyous news comes after Hofmann publicly revealed her pregnancy earlier this year on the TV show "Doppelpass" and shared a baby bump photo on Instagram.
Hofmann, who has been working at Sport1 since 2016, took a break from both her professional and social media life in June. However, the break was not related to her pregnancy or maternity leave, as it was not announced as such. The reason for the break was not specified.
Despite the break, Hofmann's role at Sport1 and her partnership with her partner, Sergio Perales Caliz, remained unaffected. Caliz, who has been publicly in a relationship with Hofmann since May 2023, is the father of the newborn.
Hofmann described her pregnancy as "getting reinforcements" and her unborn child as "someone special". She also referred to the break as a "very special summer". It appears that the break is now over, implying Hofmann's return to work or Instagram.
This is an exciting time for Ruth Hofmann and Sergio Perales Caliz, as they welcome their new addition to the family. The baby does not need an extra seat at the table, as Hofmann has already made it clear that he is a part of their family.
