Speed up, speed up! Jump on the bike and ride!

Ready to pedal through the picturesque Lower Rhine region? Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 6th, when the starting gun for the 2020 Raderlebnistag Niederrhein sets off at 10 am from Heimatmuseum "Kamps Pitter" in Willich.

This cycling event boasts a whopping 99 routes, each with a focus on technology, making every trail available for download or print as GPX tracks. The objective? To rediscover the Lower Rhine—a region brimming with attractive locations, stunning landscapes, and waterways—through an unforgettable bike tour.

Among the diverse routes, five cycles will breeze through Willich: Routes 50, 56, 58, 71, and 80. Routes within the city will be clearly marked by the DLRG, except for Route 71 which is not marked in Mönchengladbach but will have direction postcards available at the info point.

But there's more! Throughout the day, Willich will open its charming doors to visitors. Cyclists will be able to visit attractions like the Eva-Lorenz-Umweltstation in Neersen's Schlosspark, the Chapel Klein Jerusalem, Brauerei Willich Pils in Schiefbahn (where cyclists receive a Willich Pils beer and can peek into Willich's brewing history), and the Wasserturm Fellerhöfe, which welcomes visitors from 11 am to 3 pm. To top it all off, a hat concert featuring singer Gwenjolie will take place at the "Heimatmuseum Kamps Pitter" info point.

Participants also get a chance to win attractive prizes in a prize draw by voluntarily registering via smartphone QR code scan at the info points. So grab your bike, gear up, and join the crowds taking to the road for a day of adventure in the Lower Rhine.

Willing participants can register for the bike tour via smartphone QR code scan at the info points to be eligible for attractive prizes. As the bell rings to signal the start of the 2020 Raderlebnistag Niederrhein, sports enthusiasts will embark on unforgettable cycling journeys through the scenic Lower Rhine region.
