In a recent interview on the "All on Match!" program on "Match TV", former CSKA midfielder Alexander Grishin expressed concerns about Dejan Stankovic's emotionality negatively impacting Spartak Moscow's performance in the current Russian Premier League (RPL) season.

Stankovic, the head coach of Spartak, has been criticised for his nervousness during matches, which has reportedly undermined the players' morale and mental composure. According to Grishin, citing reports by Euro-football.ru and statements from former Tashkent Spartak president Andrey Chervichenko, Stanković's inability to maintain his composure during games has disrupted the mental state of the team members and contributed to the club's poor results.

The latest evidence of this was seen in the 4th round match against Lokomotiv, which ended in a disappointing 2:4 defeat for Spartak. Grishin noted that Stankovic's nervousness during this match led to a loss of control over the game, and the players' mistakes, possibly due to seeing the coach's concern, contributed to Spartak's loss despite a good start to the match.

With Spartak currently in 11th place in the RPL table with only four points after four rounds, this upcoming match against Dynamo Makhachkala in the Russian Cup on Tuesday, August 13, is a crucial test for Stankovic and his team. They urgently need to improve their situation if they are to challenge for honours this season.

Meanwhile, the Russian national team is looking forward to friendly matches against Peru and Chile in November 2025. Elsewhere, Batrakov's agent expects serious offers from top European clubs next summer, while ex-Spartak player Mostovoy is evaluating Lokomotiv's transfer policy and start in the RPL.

The interview on "All on Match!" discussed the reasons for Spartak's weak start in the current RPL season, with the focus on Stankovic's emotionality and its impact on the team's performance. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if Spartak can turn things around and challenge for honours.
