Spartak confirms the acquisition of Jedsson Fernandes, previously a midfielder for Beşiktaş
Jędson Fernandes, a versatile Brazilian midfielder, has officially joined Russian football club Spartak. The 26-year-old, known for his high speed, powerful shot, and effective dribbling, will don the number 83 in his new team.
Fernandes began his professional career in Brazil, playing for Corinthians, one of the country's major clubs. He then moved to various Brazilian clubs, gaining valuable experience in Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
In recent years, Fernandes has had loans to Tottenham, Galatasaray, Rizespor, and Beşiktaş. Notably, he won the Turkish Cup and Super Cup with Beşiktaş in 2024. Prior to this, he had also won the Portuguese championship with Benfica in 2018.
Since 2022, Fernandes has been playing for Beşiktaş, where he played 131 matches (18 in the league and 16 in the cup). His transfer agreement with Spartak is for four years, until the summer of 2029.
Throughout his career, Fernandes has worked with renowned coaches such as José Mourinho, Jorge Jesus, and Fatih Terim. Spartak's statement read, "Welcome to Spartak, Jędson!"
Jędson Fernandes is a midfielder by position and nationality, hailing from Brazil. Although his career statistics show approximately over 50 professional matches and a handful of goals, his notable contributions as a midfielder include assists, passing accuracy, and work rate rather than prolific goal scoring.
While Jędson is not widely known for major international honors or extensive national team experience, his career continues to develop, and he may add more achievements over time. For detailed, up-to-date statistics including exact number of matches, goals, assists, and specific awards, it is recommended to check official club websites, league statistics databases, or sports analytics platforms closer to your current date.
While Jędson Fernandes has been playing in European leagues, his impressive performance in the Premier League as a midfielder for Tottenham is a prominent highlight in his career. As he joins Spartak, bookmakers predict he may have significant impact on sports like football due to his expertise in maneuvering key European-leagues, including the Premier League.
