Spain's Weather: Varied Conditions Await, From Rain to Clear Skies
Spain's weather is set to be varied, with cloudy skies and rain in some regions, while others enjoy clear conditions. Humidity from the Mediterranean will bring possible rain to coastal areas in the north, while winds and fog will also affect different parts of the country.
Starting the day, fog will be present in the northwest and may also affect the interior east. Coastal fog is possible in northern Alboran, with light calima in Alboran, the southeastern peninsula, and Balearic Islands. Winds will blow moderately from the east in the Balearic Islands and southeastern peninsula, from the west in the northwestern peninsula and the Strait, and as trade winds in the Canary Islands with possible strong intervals. The tramontana in Ampurdán is expected to decrease.
Looking ahead, Atlantic circulation will bring cloudy or overcast skies and light rain to the northwest of Galicia and western Cantabria. The rest of the country will see generally light winds, increasing in the second half of the day, with the east component prevailing in the eastern third of the peninsula, the north in the Cantabrian area, and the west in the rest. Mostly clear or sunny skies are expected in the rest of Spain, with some intervals of low clouds in the morning and evolution in the afternoon in other regions of the north and east peninsula, as well as medium and high clouds in the southeast and Balearic Islands.
Temperatures will rise generally across Spain, except in the Mediterranean area where they will decrease, and in the Canary Islands where they will remain largely unchanged. This varied weather pattern is typical of autumn in Spain, with clear nights and windy days expected.
