Spain set to experience harsh weather from the weekend: strong winds and significant temperature decrease in specified regions according to Mario Picazo's warning
Spain is bracing for a dramatic shift in weather, marking the end of summer and ushering in autumn. According to popular meteorologist, Mario Picazo, a front is heading towards Spain, bringing precipitations and a significant drop in temperatures.
The meteorological scenario for the coming week will be vastly different from the recent sunny days. The areas most affected by the temperature drop will be in the northern third of the peninsula, from Galicia to the Pyrenees.
Mario Picazo indicates that apart from the rains affecting the northern peninsula, yellower colours (indicating colder temperatures) are creeping in from the north and spreading throughout Spain.
On Saturday, temperatures will still be high in the south and southwest, but fresher in the northwest. However, a significant thermal drop is expected in many communities in Spain on Sunday.
In the north of Aragon, Navarra, and Catalonia, rains and intense, locally strong storms could occur. Isolated and more scattered showers may fall from the center to the south of Spain.
The front opening in Spain allows much colder air to enter, and the heat is expected to leave Spain sooner than many anticipate. On Monday, the temperature drop in many communities will be greater.
The Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts the arrival of rains and fresher temperatures with a significant drop in temperature in Spain. Mario Picazo, known for his weather forecasts in Spain, echoes this prediction, highlighting notable changes in the weather for the coming days.
From Sunday onwards, wind will also be a factor, accentuating the sensation of cold. For the start of autumn, on Monday, 22nd September, temperatures will continue to drop in many communities in Spain.
Despite the recent high temperatures reaching 40 degrees in several areas of Spain, which is unusual for the last days of summer, it seems that Spain is ready to embrace the cooler weather. Stay tuned for updates on the changing weather conditions.
