Spain concludes its full participation and earns its third gold medal at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship

The Spanish rhythmic gymnastics team, undeniably commanding, gleaned yet another gold medal at the European Championships held in Tallinn, Estonia - this time in the all-around competition on Saturday. But that wasn't all! Their unyielding domination continued as they bagged two more golds in the finals of five ribbons and the two hoops and three balls.

Spanish Team Sweeps Tallinn

Their triumph in the five ribbons final was clear as day as they outshone France by a generous margin of 0.650 points, securing a score of 25.300. France had to settle for the silver, whereas Italy clinched the bronze with a score of 23.800 points.

The show didn't stop there! The Spanish team wowed everyone yet again in the final of two hoops and three balls, racking up an astonishing 27.700 points to seal the gold. Their performance was perfection personified, a testament to their relentless hard work and the guidance of their coach, Alejandra Quereda.

A Dance of Substance and Style

The Spanish team, consisting of Inés Bergua, Andrea Corral, Cortelles, Andrea Fernández, Muñoz, and Salma Solaun, excelled with an exercise brimming with difficulty and finesse. Their performance was appreciated by the judges, who awarded them the same score they received during qualification - a phenomenal 27.700 points.

Despite lowering the degree of difficulty slightly from 13.6 in the preliminary round to 13.2 in the final, the Spanish team made up for it with precision and emotional expression. Their execution score was a commendable 6.900, and their artistic impression score was equally impressive at 7.600 points.

Their exceptional routine left their closest competitor, the Ukrainian team, trailing by a significant 1.450 points. The Ukrainians settled for the silver with a score of 26.250. Germany's gymnasts completed the podium, winning bronze with a score of 25.350 points, a staggering 2.350 points less than Spain.

This year's victory significantly surpasses what the Spanish team achieved at the 2024 Europeans in Budapest, where they earned a bronze in the all-around competition, a silver in the five hoops final, and a gold in the three ribbons and two balls final.
