"Space Marine, the Warhammer 40,000 game, is set to receive an upgrade"

Upcoming Release: "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition"

Prepare for the return of the original third-person shooter, as the "Master Crafted Edition" of "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine" makes its way to modern gaming platforms. Developed by Port Studio SneakyBox, this updated version offers a marriage of past and present with its thoughtful restoration.

Producer Vaidas Mikelskas describes the update as a harmonious blend of history and innovation, serving as a respectful dialogue between the original game and its contemporary counterparts. With graphical enhancements, modern UI and control scheme, improved Ork visuals, and over 100 new voice lines, the game aims to captivate a new generation of players.

Initially developed by Relic Entertainment, the 2011 released "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine" garnered generally favorable reviews. Although planned sequels were scrapped due to publisher THQ's shutdown, Sega later obtained the publishing rights when they acquired Relic in 2013. The game was re-released on PC the following year, and in 2024, Saber Interactive announced they would develop a sequel for publisher Focus Entertainment.

Currently, Sega holds the rights to the first "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine," with no announced PlayStation 5 version of the Master Crafted Edition. Those interested in the game can purchase it on PC or Xbox Series X|S starting June 10, or access it via Xbox Game Pass on the same day.

For more news on upcoming releases, stay tuned for updates on "Marvel," "Star Wars," "Star Trek," the future of "Doctor Who," and the latest developments in the "DC Universe" on both film and television.
