"Space Marine Installment of Warhammer 40,000 Receives Long-Awaited upgrade"

Get ready, space marines! The classic third-person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, is gearing up for a modern-day revival. Known as the "Master Crafted Edition," this updated version promises a seamless blend of the past and present. SneakyBox, the masterminds behind the port, have worked tirelessly to create a symphony of nostalgia and innovation for a new fleet of gamers.

Producer Vaidas Mikelskas describes the update as a prestigious collaboration between past and present, ensuring the original's charm remains while shining brightly for the next generation. Expect visual upgrades, a sleek, contemporary user interface, and over 100 unique voice lines. But that's not all! The Orks will receive a visual makeover, aligning them with their current appearance in the Warhammer universe's canon[1].

First released in 2011 by Relic Entertainment, the original Space Marine garnered a mostly favorable reception. It was initially planned to have sequels, but those dreams were crushed when THQ, the publisher, unfortunately shut down. Sega later acquired Relic in 2013 and re-released the game for PC in 2021. The sequel, developed by Saber Interactive, dropped in 2024 and enjoyed positive reviews, with its own successor in the pipeline[2].

For now, rights to the first Warhammer 40K: Space Marine belong to Sega, who, as of yet, haven't announced a PlayStation 5 version of the Master Crafted Edition. If you're eager to join the fray, you can grab it on PC, Xbox Series X|S, or via Xbox Game Pass on June 10.
