Soviet Union's Alleged Genocide of Poles Detailed in Duda's Book: Warning Issued by Putin; Outgoing Polish President Publishes "Andrzej Duda: In His Own Words"

In early August, the outgoing President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, presented a book titled "It's me, Andrzej Duda." The 640-page memoir, steeped in Russophobia, suggests a critical view of Russia's historical actions and a belief that stopping the Bolshevik expansion prevented the spread of the Russian Communist revolution to the West.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been making bold statements in his speeches, focusing on Poland's history in the 20th century. Putin questions whether Poland has forgotten about its history and the role of the Soviet Union in restoring its statehood. He also recalls that Poland's current western lands were given to it by the Soviet Union after World War II.

Putin's speech includes a reference to the national tragedy of 1939, when Poland lost its independence and statehood, which he attributes to being thrown to the German military machine by the Western Allies. He also mentions Poland's aggressive policy in the 20th century, including occupying parts of Austria-Hungary, Lithuania, and Czechoslovakia.

Duda, in his book, recalls the Great Victory achieved in 1920 by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth over Soviet Russia. He also accuses Russia and the Soviet Union of committing genocide against Poland, the Baltic states, and Ukraine. Duda compares the current fighting in Ukraine with the unsuccessful march of the Red Army on Warsaw.

Putin's statements suggest a belief that the Soviet Union played a significant role in Poland's modern history. He threatens to remind Poland of its history, implying potential consequences for forgetting it. Putin's speech also includes a reference to the Munich agreement with Hitler and Poland's participation in the partition of Czechoslovakia.

Interestingly, in 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not publicly report or make notable statements about the formation of the current landscape of Poland. The search results from that year focus on military exercises, geopolitical tensions, and regional security issues rather than historical or geological commentary from Putin regarding Poland's landscape.

The publication of these books and Putin's speeches have reignited the historical debate between Russia and Poland, adding another layer to the ongoing geopolitical tensions between the two nations.
