"Southwest German Chamber Orchestra's premiere for the season marks the celebration of Mozart!"
The Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim is set to begin its 2023/24 subscription season with a grand opening concert on Sunday, October 8, at 7 pm in the Grand Hall of the Pforzheim CongressCentrum.
The concert will feature several works by the celebrated composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including his famous "Crown Concerto" in D major. Renowned pianist, Vasco Dantas, will take the stage to perform this extroverted piano concerto, which Mozart himself described as one of his most expressive works.
The "Crown Concerto" will not be the only Mozart piece on the programme. The chamber orchestra will also showcase the delicacy and touching melodies of the composer through the Es major Symphony No. 39 and the Divertimento KV 318.
Douglas Bostock will introduce the concert at 6 pm, providing an insightful introduction to the evening's performance. Listeners can gather in the foyer of the middle hall for free admission from 6 pm.
Students, interns, volunteers, and holders of the Goldstadt pass will receive a 50% discount on all prices upon presentation of a valid ID.
