Newcastle United Secure Loan Signing of Aaron Ramsdale Ahead of Premier League Return
Newcastle United have bolstered their squad for the upcoming Premier League season with the signing of Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan from Southampton. The 27-year-old English goalkeeper, who has previously worked with Newcastle manager Eddie Howe during his time at Bournemouth, brings a wealth of top-flight experience to St. James' Park.
Ramsdale, who made his Premier League debut with AFC Bournemouth in the 2019-20 season, has since played for Arsenal and Southampton. He spent two successful seasons as Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper, before losing his starting place to David Raya. Ramsdale's contract with Southampton runs until June 2028, but he will now join Newcastle United for the 2025-26 season.

Throughout his Premier League career since 2019, Ramsdale has made 183 league appearances and kept 41 clean sheets.
