South Urals braces for wild weather swings and icy hazards this week

The South Urals will experience unsettled weather this week, with temperatures fluctuating above seasonal averages. High humidity and shifting conditions are set to bring a mix of rain, snow, and fog. Forecasters warn of icy patches and reduced visibility in places by midweek.

On Tuesday, November 25, daytime temperatures will climb between 1°C and 6°C across the region. In Chelyabinsk, readings could peak at +6°C, while overnight lows will dip from +1°C to –4°C. Warmer pockets in the south may still reach +5°C by nightfall.

The week’s volatile weather brings hazards like black ice and poor visibility, particularly in fog-prone southern areas. Residents should prepare for sudden temperature swings and wintry precipitation by the weekend. Authorities advise caution on roads and sidewalks as conditions deteriorate.
