South-Eastern PDP Leaders, Including Mbah, Consider Leaving Party Due to Disputes

In an informal, straight-talkin' style, let's get to the crux: the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South-East Nigeria are considering a mass shift, and they ain't shy about blamin' the party hierarchy for their pissed-offedness.

According to our website's scoop, the South-East Caucus voiced their angst during a Zonal Executive Committee (ZEC) meet-up on Wednesday in Enugu. Their beef? They're gettin' the short end of the stick, and they want Ude-Okoye recognized as the national secretary right the hell NOW.

All the speakers at this shindig, including Ali Odefa and more, echoed this sentiment like a damn chorus, threatenin' to jump ship if the PDP hierarchy doesn't wise up. The party, in a mood not unlike a scorned lover, warned that, should their demands not be swiftly met, the South-East PDP might reconsider their relationship with the party going forward. Ouch.

Meanwhile, Umar Sani, former spokesperson of the PDP's 2019 presidential campaign organization, has aired some accusations against Nyesom Wike. Wike, says Sani, has been sowin' discord within the main opposition party by refusin' to use his influence to build up the party. Instead, he's allegedly weekened and demolished it.

In an op-ed reminiscent of a pulpit sermon, Sani went on to call Wike a political shape-shifter with a penchant for betrayal and an outsized ego.

"In the ever-evolvin' theater of Nigerian politics," Sani wrote, "few figures are as polarizin' and unpredictable as Chief Nyesom Wike. Once a formidable force within the People's Democratic Party, Wike has metamorphosed into one of its most destabilizin' elements, wieldin' his influence not to build or reform but to undermine and dismantle."
