Sophie Lloyd's Busy Year: Two Albums and Major Performances
Guitarist Sophie Lloyd, known for her work with Machine Gun Kelly, has had a busy year. She released two albums, Shred Vol. 1 and Imposter Syndrome, and performed at major events, including the Women's Rugby World Cup final.
Lloyd's musical journey began in 2012 when she started uploading shred covers to YouTube. Her talent earned her over 1.25 million subscribers. In 2022, she joined Machine Gun Kelly's band as the touring guitarist, performing on his Mainstream Sellout tour.
Her live performances have taken her to prestigious venues. In January, she played at the iconic Whisky A Go Go club in Los Angeles. She also performed at The Underworld in London, marking her first solo show in October 2024.
Lloyd's 2023 saw her release two albums and perform at high-profile events. She captivated 82,000 spectators at the Women's Rugby World Cup final with a medley of songs. Looking ahead, Lloyd plans to return to the UK for two tours in October 2025 and January 2026, promising more exciting performances for her fans.
