Soothing Baroque melodies resound in Rosenow Church during the festive season
On Sunday, August 24, at 5 PM, the Church of Rosenow will host a special organ concert featuring the internationally acclaimed duo of solo trumpeter Uwe Komischke and concert organist Thorsten Pech. This unique collaboration between trumpet and organ, spanning over 40 years, has earned them an outstanding reputation in classical music circles.
The duo, who have been performing together since 1977, will captivate audiences with their mastery of the classical music tradition, particularly in the realm of trumpet and organ performances at prestigious venues. Their repertoire includes works by Handel, Boyce, and Purcell, among others, as showcased in their previous performances at Peter and Paul's Church in Mecklenburg.
Uwe Komischke, a professor at a university in Weimar, and Thorsten Pech, a concert organist, have garnered national and international acclaim for their exceptional performances. The event is organised by the Three Churches Support Association and the Penzlin-Mölln Parish, and donations to support the event are welcome.
Admission to the organ concert is free, making it an opportunity for lovers of classical music to experience the festive Baroque sounds that the duo is known for. The concert promises to be a memorable event, with Komischke and Pech showcasing their unique combination of trumpet and organ at the Church of Rosenow.
