Sony’s Afeela car brings PlayStation gaming to the driver’s seat in 2026

Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) has revealed that its first production car, the Afeela, will include PlayStation Remote Play as an in-car entertainment option. The feature lets users stream games directly from their PS5 or PS4 consoles to the vehicle’s display. Deliveries of the model are set to begin in California in 2026.

SHM, a joint venture formed by Sony and Honda in 2022, aims to push boundaries in mobility technology. The company focuses on developing high-value vehicles alongside innovative services for drivers and passengers.

The Afeela marks SHM’s entry into the production market, with its first units arriving in 2026. By embedding PS Remote Play, the vehicle offers a new way for gaming enthusiasts to enjoy their consoles outside the home. The system’s performance will depend on a strong internet connection, ensuring minimal lag during play.
