You thought your old man was just the cool action hero from the silver screen? Think again. Turns out, Arnold Schwarzenegger (77), the Terminator himself, used to be the one to make your school day bearable with an unexpected visit to set, transforming into the Terminator or Mr. Freeze right before your eyes in his trailer, and letting you snack on catering and cruise around on a golf cart[1]. But once he swapped the film industry for the Governor's seat in California, that sweet deal was over. "Y'all rebelld!" Arnold quipped, chuckling over a chat with son Patrick (31) for "Variety"[2].

Patrick reminisced, "Man, I used to love trotting off to school, knowing grandpa'd be rolling up in his beast of an SUV to scoop me up and take me on set. I mean, what kid wouldn't wanna hang with the Terminator, right?"[2] But with Dad's new job at the Capitol, it was a big ol' buzzkill[2]. "We all hated your political work, Dad," Patrick said[2].

Arnold, the former Governor of California from 2003 to 2011 and star of films like "Terminator," "Conan the Barbarian," and "Twins - Zwillinge," shares four kids with ex-wife Maria Shriver. Apart from Patrick, the family includes Katherine, Christina, and Christopher. Patrick skyrocketed to fame with his role in the hit series "The White Lotus" season three[1].
