Soludo Dismisses Ozigbo's Accusations as Preposterous

Things are heating up in Anambra State politics with the latest jabs between Governor Charles Soludo and All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant, Valentine Ozigbo.

Ozigbo has accused Soludo of funding Nicholas Ukachukwu to weaken the APC, a claim that Soludo's chief press secretary, Christian Aburime, has labeled as a mere figment of Ozigbo's imagination. Aburime stated, "That's a load of nonsense. It's pure fantasy concocted by Ozigbo. He should direct his grievances towards Ukachukwu instead of smearing Soludo."

Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has no ties to the APC and is completely dedicated to delivering the benefits of democracy to the people, Aburime added.

Ozigbo, however, has taken his grievances to court by filing a lawsuit against the APC at the federal high court in Awka over the primary election outcome. The suit names the APC, Ukachukwu, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as defendants. Ozigbo is seeking to nullify Ukachukwu's nomination and secure recognition as the rightful candidate.

On a Side Note

In other political news, the opposition is reconsidering their move to the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid concern about mass defections causing the party to either sink or capsize. Furthermore, some politicians are debating the need for President Tinubu to announce a state of emergency in Zamfara State.

Ongoing Disputes

Valentine Ozigbo has challenged the outcome of the APC gubernatorial primary election in Anambra State, citing irregularities and manipulation[1]. His petition to the APC Appeals Committee outlines issues such as non-party members being on the delegate list, genuine party members being barred from voting, and manipulated accreditation processes[2]. As of now, there is no external legal action against the APC in Anambra State. However, Ozigbo's dispute is being addressed internally through party mechanisms.
