Solingen’s Hanukkah Festival of Lights Unites Community on December 15, 2024

Solingen, the local Jewish community, and Schwertstraße Gymnasium are hosting the traditional Hanukkah Festival of Lights on Monday, December 15, 2024. The event begins at 5:00 PM and invites everyone to join in celebration, remembrance, and community spirit. Attendees can expect music, performances, and a shared moment of reflection at a historic site in the city.

The festival will open at the Schwertstraße Gymnasium auditorium with a lively programme. The school choir will perform, accompanied by musicians Wolfgang Kläsener and André Enthöfer. Students will also take the stage, followed by a dance presentation.

The Hanukkah Festival of Lights brings music, history, and community to Solingen on December 15, 2024. Open to all, the evening combines celebration with reflection, offering a chance to honour tradition and unity. Traditional treats, performances, and the candle-lighting ceremony will mark the occasion.
