Solingen’s Brunnenhof pedestrian path closes November 15 for safety upgrades

Starting November 15, the pedestrian passage across Brunnenhof in Solingen will temporarily close due to safety concerns. The city, in collaboration with Stadt-Sparkasse Solingen, has made this decision to ensure the well-being of customers and 1099 employees.

The closure comes as a result of the ongoing clearance of the old headquarters on Kölner Straße. This process may create temporary obstacles and tripping hazards, posing a risk to pedestrians. To prevent accidents, the passage will remain closed until further notice.

Stadt-Sparkasse Solingen has advised visitors to use the Max-Leven-Gasse parking garage as a safe alternative during this period. The bank prioritizes the safety of its customers and employees, and this decision reflects their commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Additionally, the danger of snow and ice during winter further emphasizes the need for this precautionary measure.
