Solingen calls for action: "It's high time we move forward!"
In the upcoming local elections of 2025, Martin Bender, the mayoral candidate for the Citizens' Initiative for Solingen (BfS), is calling for a change of course for the city of Solingen.
Bender, a prominent figure in the region, believes that fresh courage and a strong civic majority are needed to tackle the city's challenges. His campaign focuses on progress, reason, and an end to the current crisis in Solingen.
The BfS, which stands for 'Besser für Solingen' (Better for Solingen), is warning about the future of the city. Bender's message is clear: the city deserves better, and now is the time to make it happen.
Bender's goal is to give Solingen hope again. He promises to put an end to the mistakes of the past and improve the city's situation, focusing on security, solid finances, a strong economy, transparency, and more citizen participation.
Bender criticises the horse-trading in politics that has often prioritised personal advantages over the city's well-being. He calls on citizens to send a clear signal during the election, implying a message against a 'business as usual' approach.
The BfS stands firm in its stance that a change of course is necessary to put Solingen back on track to success. Bender's campaign message also implies a call to reclaim the future of Solingen.
The city's financial situation, traffic policy, and urban development are in a critical state and require immediate action, according to Bender. Voting, he believes, is a way to send a clear message against stagnation and crisis management, and for progress and reason.
If no action is taken, the chances of future generations will be squandered, Bender warns. He emphasises that the horse-trading in politics must end, and that the city should no longer be controlled by poorly qualified placeholders.
Bender's appeal is simple: citizens are urged to vote in the upcoming election. He believes that together, they can create a safe, modern, and livable Solingen with clear, solution-oriented politics. If elected, he promises to work tirelessly to ensure a brighter future for Solingen and its citizens.
