Approximately 1,380 World War II veterans living in Tomsk region have received payouts totaling 87.4 million rubles by May 9th, with 469 individuals receiving 80,000 rubles each, according to a press release from the Social Fund of Russia (SFR) division in Tomsk region.

Previously, it was reported that as of the end of April, there were 23 World War II invalid and participant veterans, 27 Leningrad Blockade survivors, 1,106 rear workers, 33 former child concentration camp prisoners, and 432 widows of World War II participants residing in Tomsk region [1][2].

"The one-time payment of 80,000 rubles was received by 469 World War II veterans. This group includes invalid and veteran warriors of the World War II; individuals awarded the 'Resident of the Siege of Leningrad' badge; former child concentration camp prisoners..; and the spouses (widows) of deceased invalid and World War II participants," the statement reads.

It is noted that 907 rear workers and former adult concentration camp prisoners received payouts of 55,000 rubles each. In total, 1,376 World War II veterans in Tomsk region received payouts, amounting to 87.4 million rubles [1].

"The payouts were automatically credited along with pensions in April. I'd like to note that the commemorative payment was made to World War II veterans in addition to the regular April holiday payment of 10,000 rubles, which the SFR division in Tomsk region traditionally transfers to disabled and participating veterans each year," local SFR regional manager Dmitry Malcev is quoted as saying [1].

133 more World War II veterans, according to the fund, are receiving regular monthly payouts – this grant is provided in addition to the pension for old age. The average amount is around 6,781.71 rubles [1].
