On April 28, the Indian government took action, banning 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including cricket-related channels like Samaa Sports and Uzair Cricket. The ban extended to popular cricket YouTubers Wasay Habib and Syed Qamar Raza, and even Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's YouTube channel was blocked in India on May 2.

The cold freeze wasn't confined to cricket: social media accounts of Pakistani filmstars and other celebrities also felt the chill of India's winter displeasure, with the Indian government remaining inconspicuously silent on the decision to make these accounts inaccessible.

On May 2, Furthermore, several other Pakistan-based social media accounts were inaccessible from India. The X (previously Twitter) and Instagram handles of Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and other Pakistan internationals now display messages stating that the accounts have been "withheld in India in response to a legal demand" or that the content is "currently unavailable in this country because of an order from the government related to national security or public order."

In addition to the PSL tournament, which coincides with the IPL for the first time, the official accounts of the PSL teams have also been withheld in India. Lastly, streaming platforms like FanCode and Sony Sports Network were pressured into suspending coverage of the PSL in India, a decision that included halting live streamings and removing tournament-related videos and match highlights.
