Districts like Stendal pay between 2,000 and 2,300 euros for urn burials, including cemetery fees, and pick up the remaining tab. Some regions, like Burgenlandkreis and Saalekreis, confirmed the decline in social funeral coverage, but most districts showed a mixed picture with no clear trend. Halle, for example, saw a spike in social burials and related expenditure in 2022, surpassing ten-year-old figures.
