Sochi's Fountains to Shut Down for Winter on November 5
Following the holiday weekend, maintenance crews in Sochi will commence winterization efforts. This includes draining basins and inspecting electrical equipment in the city's fountains. The process will begin on November 5, with some fountains already deactivated in various districts.
The Singing Fountain in Sirius will temporarily pause its musical shows in mid-November, resuming in May 2026. Sochi's fountains are expected to fully shut down by early November, with the Central District fountains closing around this time. Krasnodar will follow suit, turning off its fountains on the evening of November 4 and starting maintenance the next day.
All fountains in Sochi and Krasnodar are expected to resume operation on May 1, 2026, following routine conservation work and winter maintenance.
