Sochi shatters Russia’s November heat record with 18.7°C in 2025

Sochi shatters Russia’s November heat record with 18.7°C in 2025

On November 5, 2025, Sochi recorded the highest temperature in Russia, reaching a warm 18.7°C. Several other cities in the region also experienced unusually high temperatures.

Sochi's Goryachy Klyuch and Adler Airport both saw temperatures close to 19°C, with 18.6°C and 18.7°C respectively. Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi was not far behind with 18.5°C. Meanwhile, Novorossiysk and Tuapse tied for eighth place with temperatures of 17.5°C. Ust-Labinsk in the Kuban region and Dzhubga saw temperatures of 17.7°C and 17.8°C respectively. Krasnodar recorded 17.9°C, while Cherkessk saw temperatures of 17.3°C. Maykop in Adygea saw temperatures of 17.6°C. Notably, on November 6, Tuapse recorded the second-highest temperature in Russia after Sochi.

The warm spell in early November 2025 was notable across the region, with Sochi leading the way. Several cities saw temperatures well above the seasonal average, making it an unusually warm start to the month.
