The Sheridan County YMCA is gearing up for its fall soccer season, welcoming children from kindergarten to eighth grade to participate. The program, which runs from September 3 to October 8, 2025, offers practices and games on Mondays and Wednesdays.

For those in kindergarten and first grade, practices and games will take place at the YMCA, with games scheduled at 4:30, 5:20, and 6:10 p.m. Older children, from grades 2 to 8, will primarily practice at Blacktooth Park, with some teams also practicing at the YMCA fields across the street. Games for grades 2-8 will be held at Blacktooth Park at 5 and 6 p.m.

Practice times for all teams are set between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. It's important to note that while registration for the fall soccer program closed on August 22, the program is open to all children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Liz Cassiday, the Executive Director of the Sheridan County YMCA, mentioned that there are changes in the program this year, although no specific details were provided. Despite the changes, the YMCA remains committed to providing a fun and engaging soccer experience for all participants.

The Sheridan County YMCA is currently closed for its annual deep clean and maintenance. For more information about the fall soccer program or the YMCA in general, please visit their official website.

Football is one of the sports offered during the fall soccer season at the Sheridan County YMCA. Older children, from grades 2 to 8, participating in the program will primarily practice at Blacktooth Park, which indicates that football games for grades 2-8 will also likely take place there.
