Sobolenko earns a passport to the 3rd round of Roland Garros tournament
In the second round of this year's Roland Garros tournament, top-ranked Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenka secured victory over Hilary Belen Taimann of Switzerland. The match ended with a score of 6-3, 6-1 in favor of Sabalenka, and was completed in 1 hour and 19 minutes.
Sabalenka served two aces during the contest, made four double faults, and converted four out of seven break points. Taimann, ranked No. 97 in the world, responded with one ace, one double fault, and one successful break point out of six attempts.
As the reigning champion, Iga Świątek, took the victory in last year's final, Roland Garros is being held from May 25 to June 7.
In 2022, Sabalenka advanced to the third round of Roland Garros before being defeated by Camila Giorgi. In previous years, she has reached the semifinals in 2023 and the quarterfinals in 2024. This year, Sabalenka is currently competing in the third round of the tournament.
Sabalenka continued her tennis prowess, displaying her skills in sports once again during her current round at Roland Garros. Her latest match against Taimann, though challenging, showcased her ability to convert break points, securing four out of seven opportunities.
