Soaring Temperatures Reach +34 Degrees in Krasnodar Region
The Krasnodar region is set to experience a heatwave from August 15 to 17, 2025, with daytime temperatures reaching highs of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius (approximately 91 to 95 °F). Nighttime temperatures will be mild, ranging from 18 to 20 degrees Celsius (64 to 68 °F).
During this period, the region will remain dry, with no precipitation expected. However, there is a risk of intense rainfall events alongside the high temperatures, which may lead to adverse effects on local rivers and flooding.
Wind speeds will be light to moderate, with gusts reaching 12-14 meters per second in the main territory, up to 18 in Novorossiysk. Overnight, wind gusts will reach up to 14 meters per second in the main territory, 20 meters per second at the Black Sea coast, and up to 14 meters per second in the foothills.
The weather will be mostly sunny or partly cloudy, with the potential for heavy rainfall and flooding being a notable concern. Temperatures will gradually rise, reaching +29 to +34 degrees Celsius by the end of the week, and the heatwave is expected to continue into the beginning of the next week.
Overnight temperatures will vary across the region. On the Black Sea coast, they will range from +18 to +23 degrees Celsius, on the Azov coast from +18 to +23 degrees Celsius, in the main territory from +12 to +17 degrees Celsius, in the foothills from +8 to +13 degrees Celsius, and in the mountains from +5 to +10 degrees Celsius.
