Snowy chaos as coach bus skids off Tallinn-Narva Highway near Kiviõli
A coach bus veered off the Tallinn-Narva Highway on Tuesday, narrowly avoiding injuries. The Ecolines vehicle was carrying three passengers when it left the road near Kiviõli. Heavy snow and blizzard conditions made driving hazardous at the time.
The incident took place around midday, just before the turn toward Kiviõli. The bus, travelling from Tallinn to Narva, skidded off the highway in the difficult weather. Despite the crash, none of the passengers or the driver suffered any harm.
Traffic on the highway came to a brief standstill after the accident. Authorities halted vehicles for about ten minutes while the scene was cleared. The bus was later recovered, and the road reopened without further delays.
The crash caused no injuries, though it briefly disrupted travel on the Tallinn-Narva Highway. Investigations into the exact cause are likely, given the challenging weather at the time. The bus company and local authorities have not yet released further details.
